JERLANG AQUAFARM

Jerlang Aquafarm was established in 2008 and located in Batu 10, Jalan Pantai of Seremban district. It is situated 16km away from the Seremban town area. Ever since we started our operation a year ago, we have been focusing only on one species which is red tilapia. As part of expansion in future, we are going to work with other species like Baung, Keli, etc. We are using the modern and natural-method of operation to increase and maintain high volume of fish and fry.

The nature of business is fresh water hatchery that only involving the red tilapia species. The prolific processes are divided in 3 categories. The stages are the brood stock maintenance, hatching/breeding processes, and nursery process.

The modern facilities that are provided in Jerlang Aquafarm include cement tanks for the nursery of fries, pellet feed are applied in all processes and assisted by complete control water system. The function of the control water system is to filter stream water right from river to the sedimentation tank before the water are being transferred into filter & storage tanks and finally distributed into covered and non-covered nursery tank. The covered hatchery tank accommodates fries that are below 3 inches in size, while non-covered nursery tank facilitates fries that are above 3 inches in size.

The production capacity in a month is 1.5 million – 2 million and the size of the red tilapia for ex-farm sales is from 1.5” to 2”. The price range of the fry is from RM0.15 cents to RM0.30 cents according to the size. The delivery services are also provided that covers the whole Peninsular Malaysia.
